“The Country Was Cheering” celebrates Secretariat and Ron Turcotte’s victory at the Belmont winning his 3rd crown jewel in 1973. This juicy medium sized Artist Embellished canvas panel is handmade and varnished for protection. Unframed size is 10" x 10" x 1/8", framed 14" x 14" (custom high-quality gold wood frame and white linen liner). There is no need for glass. A limited number of "Little Big Red" will be reproduced. Lisa signs and numbers each piece with a Roman numeral on the back. Perfect for gift giving or keeping for yourself!

The original painting was selected to be a part of the 2023 National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame special exhibition, A Tremendous Machine: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Secretariat’s Triple Crown, honoring the accomplishments and enduring legacy of the famed Meadow Stable colt.

An Artist Embellished canvas is a panel canvas reproduction that is then enhanced (painted) by Lisa Palombo personally. The surface has texture and originality. Our reproductions are of the highest quality. They are printed in the USA by a qualified publisher who only uses archival materials. Each piece is then varnished before and after the embellishment.

See "Our Size Guide" photo to compare Minis and Mixed Media Originals.
